I think all the elements of a traditional QT film were there, it just wasn't put together right. Some scenes contained so much meaningless dialog, that I actually found my self thinking, did he put all that in, just to fill time? If he would have cut that stuff out, then the movie would have been closer to 2 hours, than it's present run-time of 2 hours 33 minutes. Brad Pitt was terrific, but there should have been more of him and his buddies, in the film.
What was great however, was his usual mix of funky music, and great camera work. I just wish they would have done a better job with the editing. When "Pulp" came out, I thought, man he's never going to top this. After seeing IB, I still stand by that statement.
I loved this movie! Rachel McAdams, and Eric Bana where superb! What a great script too! I see some Academy Award nominations for this film, including: Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Music, and Best Picture. I don't know how the critics good give this a C+...It's definitely an "A", in my book!!
Meryl Streep, was simply brilliant!! I smiled throughout all of her scenes. The only problem I had, was that Amy Adams scenes, had to be as charming as Meryls, but they weren't, and thus, I found myself wanting more Julia, than Julie.
However, I liked this movie a lot, and would definitely see it again. Oscar material for Meryl, once again. She is so charming in this movie!! In my opinion, it's her best work to date..
Well they've done it again. The new Star Trek movie, is one of the best yet. Chris Pine as Capt. James T. Kirk, and Zachary Quinto(of "Heroes" fame) were excellent. When I first saw Zachary Quinto on "Heroes", I thought, man, if there is ever a new Star Trek movie, this guy would an excellent choice to play Spock. Apparently, the casting directors agreed. LOL.The script, is one of the best ever, and the supporting cast were superb. The visual effects, were off the chart!!! I definitely recommend this one!!!
