Not a terrible action flick. Remember, this is based on a toy so if you expect some deep social commentary or meaning, you should not be here in the first place.
Good pace, good action, some actors are better than others.
Just a mindless action flick but not annoying like the first Joe movie or any of the Transformers franchise.
Pros well paced
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This was, simply put, a very fun evening for die-hard Lost fans. It allowed us to get some insight into the shows creators, had a couple of surprise guests but (to the great relief of many) was very careful not to contain any spoilers. At the end, it did leave one question on my mind...why are they not doing this for the finale itself? It makes no sense. I think many people would pay to watch the series ending episode on a massive HD screen with other Losties. I think it would be amazing fun.
I cannot stand Pixar. At some point, they will make a film that is terrible. This is NOT it. Again, they have created a film that is enjoyable and an instant classic. I have to admit, though, that this is also one of the most emotionally moving pictures (Pixar or otherwise) that I have seen in years.
The characters are fully developed and fun. There is enough silliness for the kids yet enough heart for the adults. Oh, and as an added bonus, the teaser for Toy Story III!!!!!
I must admit that I entered this movie with much trepidation as re-boots can be painful. In the end, I very much enjoyed the movie. Excellent character development. The time also seemed to fly by. I would rank this as the second best Trek film, still behind the classic, the Wrath of Khan.
I look forward to the next films. Much like Iron Man, the first movie was more about the characters than the action with the villain as a device just to get everyone together. Now that we know the people, it will be time to move out across the galaxy.
First, if you go in expecting Iron Man or the Dark Knight, you will be disappointed. The movie is NOT about superheroes. They are characters in a much bigger story. The movie did an excellent job of covering each characters origin while weaving it into the overall story. As for morons who took their kids and were upset by the frontal nudity...it is rated R! Also, the nudity goes toward the character and explaining the character. I am stunned people took kids to see this flick.
