Rather Disappointing

"The Time Travelers Wife" is a very interesting movie. The special effects are really good, but the movie is a bit difficult to follow.
Struck by a strange rare genetic disorder, Henry de Tamble (Bana) can not control his continous drifting back and forth through time. The very best thing that happens to him is he meets the love of his life Claire (McAdams) and they evenually marry. The story unfolds from there...
The previews of this movie led you to believe that there was going to be some "Grand Romance", but I never saw that. The best part of this movie is the time travel episodes. The other parts of the story don't have any zing. You are left wanting more.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Not Your Father's G.I. Joe

This is a split decision. "5 Stars" for Artifical Intelligence, Special Effects, Action and Intrigue. "2" Stars" for the plot and story.
I had high hopes for "G.I. Joe:The Rise of Cobra". After all most of us grew up with G.I. Joe. Well forget everything you remember from your childhood about G.I. Joe because you don't need that knowledge for this film.
There are plenty of twists and turns, but at the end of the day if you take away the Artifical Intelligence, Action and Special Effects you are left with a very boring story.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Delightful Movie!!!

I absolutely loved this movie. "Julie & Julia" is "Delightful, Witty, Soulful and Stirring". It's scary how well Meryl Streep played Julia Child.
"Julie & Julia" is about two true stories, set in 1940's Paris and Brooklyn New York in 2002.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

"Cute, Funny, Hillarious, Hysterical and too Short". These are the words I would use to describe "The Ugly Truth".
"The Ugly Truth" is about a TV Producer named Abby Richter (Heigel) who has trouble meeting and dating men. The TV Show she produces is having rating problems so her boss brings in an Independent Talk Show person named Mike Chadway (Butler) who has his own views about the battle of the sexes... The story unfolds from there.
The movie is absolutely Hillarious! I laughed out loud many times. The on-screen chemistry that Katherine Heigel and Gerard Butler has is great. This is definitely an adult movie, no kids allowed. The only problem is the end is surprisingly predictable.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This movie is Cute! Cute! Cute!, Funny, Light-Hearted and Very Enjoyable."Imagine That" is very entertaining. It's just funny and cute enough without going over the top. This is the best I have seen Eddie Murphy act in a very long time. Little Yara Shahidi who plays the daughter is absolutely adorable!! She is so cute and can act. She will no doubt break some hearts when she grows up. "Imagine That" is definitely a family comedy that everyone can enjoy!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Not as Good as the 1974 Version!!

"The Taking of Pelham 123" had been a highly anticipated movie and it has a strong cast, but Tony Scott's direction is some what frantic and therefore this remake does not measure up to the 1974 version that starred Walter Matthau, Robert Shaw and Martin Balsam. Please don't get me wrong, Denzel Washington and John Tavolta together in this movie is dynamite. Anything that Denzel Washington stars in is worth seeing. John Travolta was awesome.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Better then Da Vinci Code

I am always at a loss about these Dan Brown books that get turned into movies. One thing I can say for certain is "Angels and Demons" is much better then "The Da Vinci Code". While both movies are a tremendous amount of words (Talk, Talk, Talk) Angels and Demons has it's amount of Dissertation like chatter, but it's still intriguing.
This installment has the renown Robert Langdon (Hanks) finding himself being summoned to Vatican City to help solve a mystery involving what appears to be the resurrection of a secret brotherhood known as the "Illuminati" which is a very powerful ancient underground organization. The Story unfolds from there... Lots of Action, Suspense, Special Effects and Violence.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Nice Rendition of an old Classic!

4 stars for JJ Abrams' version of "Star Trek".
This version of "Star Trek" gives you a balance between the illusions, adventures and reality of life as it's known to the world of the Star Ship Enterprise and the Starfleet Academy. There is lots of action, special effects, a real story and plot. Leonard Nimoy makes an appearance at just the right time to help a young James T. Kirk understand his place in history.
This new envisioning of the iconic classic shows how a young James T. Kirk meets his lifelong friend Mr. Spock for the first time at Starfleet Academy. This young crew ventures boldly where no one has gone before.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
