The Audition

Exciting voices are evident for years to come! I found the excitement build toward the final competition. Personalities being exposed and overall lack of temperament was very interesting. Also interesting was the very warm encouragement and help from the Met staff. Thrilling tenor & mezzo voices. Wonderful!

This was awesome..........camera technique & quality, staging, orchestra and, above all, the voices. Can't wait for the next opera!

Madama Butterfly

The production was extraordinary........staging, costuming, choreography, traditional Japanese puppetry techniques, and, oh yes, the singing. A satisfying, if sad, theatrical experience that stayed in mind days afterward. The Met's presentation before and between Acts are great background additions. The camera positioning and filming are BIG PLUSES and make you feel as though you are on stage. Fork and Screen gets an 'A', also. No glitches so far in showing the simulcast (as in Theatre 19) and.............the food was good.
