First of all hats off to J.J. Abrams for taking on such a tough movie, he risked making alot of die hard trek fans mad and alienating non fans. He pulled it off though mixing in enough of the old and new to creat a stellar movie. The fresh screen of actors was a pleasent suprise in a world dominated by big name actors. They pulled off their charcters with flare and stayed true to the original creations by Gene Rodenberry. The special effects were spot on and the story line gave a reason for a new perspective. It all tied in beautifully. Star Trek will be a hard beat this summer, but with other big action movies like Transformers and Terminator, it will be a knock down drag out fight.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
