Meryl Streep never disappoints me. I found her performance to be very powerful and intense. They don't make them like Meryl. Philip Seymour Hoffman is incredible. Very good movie!!!!!!!

I wasn't sure I wanted to see this movie. Sean Penn did an outstanding job playing the role of Harvey Milk. During Milk's term, I was in high school being ridiculed, taunted, and teased for being "different". I knew nothing of Milk's passion in fighting for civil rights and gay rights/issues. I wept at the end thanking Milk for fighting for civil rights. I am ashamed to say that I sit back and continually hand over the power to other gay/straight people to shame and ostracise me for not being more than I am. I've reached a point where I've become intolerant of gay men. I suppose I am more intolerant of those who have tried to destroy me during my life, both gay and straight. Thank you Sean Penn and thank you Harvey Milk!!!!!
