My husband and I took our 8 year old daughter on the actual day of her birthday to see this! We saw an 11:30 am showing which was EMPTY. I was shocked that it was empty but a little pleased that I didn't have 100 screeching 8 year olds sitting around me. We thought the movie was good. You felt like you were right there during the concert, either standing on stage or in the first few rows of the audience. Although the theater was empty, there were people singing along, including us. The 3D effects were cute and not too overwhelming....my daughter hates 3D movies but this one she enjoyed because it wasn't scary! It was a great start to a brithday celebration for my daughter!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
