All of the actor's brought thier "A" game to this picture. (Does Christian Bale use the same American accent for every film?) The movie wasn't boring, but lacked direction and focus in a number of scenes. The writing wasn't bad. . . it wasn't the best either. I think people should still go see it although nobody in this picture will be nominated for an Oscar.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Beautiful Adaptation

I enjoy the graphic novel. What people are forgetting is that this is a film adaptation, not the novel itself. It is very successful visually and it left the story line intact (granted no giant squid. . . but what the heck). Snyder is successful and I can't wait to see the director's cut. I laughed pretty loud with the "Outer Limits" reference.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
