not true to original story...long and winded. action was sub par. however MacAvoy played a great Prof X. the rest of the cast was was average at best. not the worst super hero movie, but nowhere near Dark Knight, which the ads compare it to.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Excellent for Terminator Fans

If you are a Fans of the series then you will not be disappointed, because with all the action comes the subtle references to T2 and T1.
You will also love how the story telling follows the same design of T2 with a bunch of nice little surprises any Terminator fan would be excited about!
It does have it's slow moments, but they are necessary for the development and the foreshadowing of the next 2 movies that will eventually finish this series.
All in all you have to give McG a standing ovation for revitalizing a series that has gone into hibernation for a decade and allowing it to kick a $$. Fans will not be disappointed!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
