I saw Trek tonight. I enjoyed the film overall, and everything worked for me I can think of. except 3 Trek details, a few plot points that could have easily been changed and those annoying flares JJ employs throughout the film and lack of wide shots to give us a sense of space. I also didn't like the open/close titles to look like a comic book movie.
It's not wrath of Khan good, as the technical aspects of Khan never distracted from the story or acting like they do here. The villain in this film is underdeveloped and requires a back-story not seen in the film.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
