Except for leads, characters"used" one another

The acting, on-location filming, and contrasts made this a great movie. I was particularly struck with the fact that apart from the leads, the characters used one another. The owners of the so-called orphanage had no compunction about abusing the street children for their own wealth. A gang member cared nothing about selling out his neighborhood to developers. One brother sold out to another. This made the integrity of the lead characters all the more stark and remarkable.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
