What an interesting story! The movie deftly and respectfully presents so many different voices and points of view. It renders the path to radicalism understandable and raises really important ethical questions about crime and punishment.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I laughed a ton. I loved the ensemble cast -- Maya Rudolf is amazing, and so is Melissa McCarthy. Kristen Wiig, of course, rocks it. She is such a great combo of funny and poignant and tough and silly.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I loved this movie! Watching it in 3-D was great, too, because they used the effects so subtly and not so much for the "wow" factor but to really enhance the story telling. The main character, Coraline, is a great heroine, and her quest is aptly brought to life through brilliant colors and fantastical characters. This was great, definitely owes a debt to Beetlejuice but not derivative, more whimsical. It scared me for sure, though (I'm 29), so maybe not a good one for scare-prone kids.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
