This film was a major disappointment. I went with 6 other adults, some who'd read the book, though most hadn't. While we all expressed wonder at the puppets, we also expressed boredom at the movie itself. I was never engaged emotionally at any point in this film and found myself, towards the end, struggling to stay awake! When the movie ended, there was near silence in the theatre, only a small smattering of applause..
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Black is hilarious, and yet you leave the theatre also thinking deeply about what he's said - don't let that scare you; it's just that his humor resonates with truth, which is why it's so ____funny. See it in the movies. You know when they show it on TV, they'll bleep the _____out of it! (just like this website did to me right now!)
Yes, I recommend this movie.
