The fact that the claymation figures were speaking French didn't faze them in the least. They thought it was hysterical. As in many movie-length versions of TV cartoons, a story line was created to hold things together, and as in many of those projects, the arc of a long story conflicted with its slapstick heart. But the movie is worth seeing because it's really funny.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
