Seth Rogen has never impressed me, I've yet to see anything where he's actually funny. Same goes for this movie, there are a few funny lines, but the saving grace for this flick is Jay Chou and the Black Beauty.
I know we're supposed to be sympathetic to Rogen's character, but really, a spoiled rich kid traumatized by his dad pulling the head off of a superman doll? That's the motivation for the character?
I would have liked to have seen more character development for Kato and less of Britt's frat boy pick up attempts on Cameron Diaz's character.
Overall, the action in the second half of the movie, the special effects, the cool cars and Kato made the movie worth seeing. But just barely.
Decent SFX, story fit pretty well with what I vaguely remember from the comics I read as a kid, and an interesting way to address Wolverine's memory loss. All in all, a fun ride for the money.
