The visuals are incredible, but it's the story that seals the deal. Don't buy into this nonsense that it's "Fern Gully" remade. The story is incredibly well-told and the world is completely original. I will see it a third time soon.
There is such little story in this movie, it should have been a short film. It's been a problem with other HP movies, but this one takes it to an extreme. The acting is so forced, and what's with all the kissing and romance? It's a bit much.
It had some cute characters (the bird is almost worth admission alone). But almost all of the best stuff was in the trailers, and the story of an old man and a boy dragging a house around a forest got old real fast.
I know the reviews of this film have been great, but I just didn't get it. The special effects were been-there, done-that. The story was pedantic. The "Trekker" gimmicks were predictable. Bleh.
