Think of The Goonies meets ET. The special effects are amazing, it is Spielberg after all. Other than that, totally predictable with a sappy ending. My 9 year old granddaughter will love it but I'm sorry I wasted the money on Imax tickets.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was done in the same style as the 60's horror movies, but with better effects. The cinematography was amazing. I was surprised at all the negative reviews for this movie. Then I realized that these were probably the same people who thought that Avatar was a "great movie."
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Disappointing

Not anything like I expected. Although the 3D effects were fun, I was ready to leave after the first 30 minutes. This is a movie I would bring my grandkids to see. I felt as if I was watching a Disney movie and became bored very quickly. Except for the special effects, I am amazed that so many people are raving about this movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
