Don't believe the hype. Everybody would have written this movie off completely were it not for the admittedly impressive special effects. The story is ridiculously trite; it's been done before, and it's been done better. There was nothing this movie showed me that I haven't already seen in some other form, or other kind of animation. James Cameron didn't drop the ball; the movie was watchable once. But a classic? No, don't give the guy so much credit. Frankly, it scares me that all it seems to take to capture the hearts and wallets of the world today is bright colors, flashing lights, and the occasional loud noise. Even my cats expect more from their entertainment than that.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
