I'd heard that the story was trite and full of holes, and the characters were flat and two dimensional, but that ZOMG the f/x and Changing Everything Forever. Well, they were half right. I think that in order to save this movie I'm going to need 3DiMAX Smellovision or a VR helmet or something. If you're dozing off during the climactic battle scene, then something's wrong. However, the 3D work was good, with none of the gratuitous 'reach out at the audience to remind them that we're in **3D**' tricks that spoiled earlier works.
