Heath Ledger for the limited amount of time he is in the movie is brilliant. Otherwise, cheesy special effects, confusing storyline. And worse of all a very muddy soundtrack. Definitely not one of Gilliam's best.
I should have known when the title was misspelled. It's British and spelled Colour, not color. I can't fathom what happened here, but this four hour British television special has been cut to not 1 hour and 37 minutes, absolutely wrong listing also but two hours and fifteen minutes. Still to short at that because it cut out most of the second book The light fantastic. If you weren't a Terry Prachett fan you would have never ever been able to follow this. As it was it was very dull, rather than droll. Wait to judge it when the full version comes out on dvd or is shown here on TV. But this is a thumbs down.
