Clearly a movie deserving of awards. Meaningful themes weave through the entire movie so watch closely. Puzzle as to why genre is "comedy" for trust me it is not a comedy. If not for the "R" rating every child in America should watch for them to better appreciate the wonderful life afforded in the United States. Movie gives a glimpse into Third World contitions and contrasts conditions of societies governed by the rule of law and those which are less such. If you have a spoiled, sef-centered teenager, take them to see Slumdog Millionaire. Maybe it will make them reevaluate what they hold valuable.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
