This is not a movie for younger kids. My 13 year old would have had nightmares after watching this. This was too creepy and weird. 3-D effects were minimal. The animation is fantastic! I would recommend this for those who like "Tim Burtonesque" movies like Nightmare Before Christmas

This movie was outstanding! The fact that these little known and in many cases first time actors could pull off telling this story was impressive. The movie grabbed you from the very first scene. I am glad to see brilliant stories about people of color emerging to the forefront of cinema. This movie certainly will give many perspective but most of all, it does what is intended..... it plucks you from your reality, takes you to another place and makes you root for the underdog. Roll out the red carpet. Can you say Oscar?
Yes, I recommend this movie.
