Took my 11 year old to see this, he liked it, but I really didn't. There are many family movies we both can enjoy but I thought this one had a lazy plot and wasn't terribly funny. Laughed out loud about twice the whole movie, spent a lot of time thinking about how flawed the plot was (why would anyone take over a mall? what are they going to do with credit card access codes? How had they originally planned to get out of there? Why wasn't the mall surrounded?) It was frustrating.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
