A good movie, but as other people have commented, the feel of it was rushed. The actors were so-so. I understand Noah Ringer was a new discovery and maybe he'll do better in later sequels. His martial arts skills were excellent. The other actors were also not quite up to par... A good kids movie. My six year thoroughly enjoyed it. As an adult, who also followed the cartoon, it left a lot to be desired. I wonder if Shyamalan was the best choice for director. As a martial arts film fan, he didn't 'follow the action' as well as others of the same genre. Rent, don't go to the movies...
The critics dished it but I thought it was a good movie - not as good as the first one but definitely worth seeing. My son loved it and he stayed interested the whole time. The storyline was a little off kilter but still interesting.
A few funny moments but not the usual 'Will Ferrell' comedy. A lot of predictable scenes and several where the acting was sub par. The trailer was much better than the actual movie. I would not recommend buying an expensive movie ticket or the DVD when it's released to see it - but it may be worth catching on a premium channel if you already subscribe.
My son (5 years old) really wanted to see this movie. I wasn't as interested but since he came along for the movies I wanted to see, I felt I owed him one. Plus, he's 5. Who can resist that! In any event, Up was better than I expected. Very funny in places, touching in others. All around, I'm extremely glad I went to see it. My son loved it. I think he giggled and laughed through the entire film. Definitely worth seeing for the whole family.
It had some funny moments and some some pretty serious moments. For the humorous moments, you have to be a true fan of Tyler Perry to understand the humor. I also think the ending could have been a little better.
Great special effects; outstanding sound. I share another reviewers opinion about the actress that played the wife and also the actor that played the son. Poor choices... Jet Li could have had a larger presence as well but at the risk of him overpowering the storyline and the other actors. Definitely not my favorite of the series but worth a watch if you are a fan.
Typical Indiana Jones movie. Action, Adventure, etc... I did think the entire meaning behind the Crystal Skull was a little weak but honestly haven't all of Indiana scripts been that way? Nice way to introduce Shia L. Hope to see him in some continuing adventures. Die hard fans - must see. New watchers - if you have nothing better to do.
