The performances were solid (a huge surprise) and a stand-out is Eric ("Chopper") Bana as Nero, the vengeance-seeking time-traveling Romulan.
Fans of the original show and non-fans alike can appreciate this new version of the classic TV show.
I highly recommend it in IMAX.

...and I liked "Requiem For A Dream" a lot.
See "The Wrestler" for Mickey Rourke's killer performance... and Marisa Tomei's pretty damn good, too.

Definitely my vote for the best film of the year.
I didn't see a better film from 2008, I can say that truthfully.
