This is absolutely the worst movie I've ever seen. Completely unfunny, uninteresting, un-anything you want from a movie. We walked out mid-way through and by that point, about one-third of the theatre walked out.
I whispered to my sister at one point that I wished Iw as home doing laundry. When we walked out, I overheard a couple walking out at the same time say "I knew it was time to go when I wished I was home pulling weeds." Pretty bad when everyone's thinking that if they're going to be this miserable, they ought to at least be getting something done.
I will be less likely to see movies with these stars because this says so much about their awful judgment.

I would rather have watched any movie running on TV at home. In fact during this movie I was thinking, wow, I would rather be home working on this really boring project I have to get done for my job. This was the most predictable, boring, corny movie ever. You sat there thinking about whose plastic surgery looked worse, and errands you could run on the way home from the theatre.

I'd seen the preview several times, and each time, we said "no interest" and probably made some of those "what's with all the comic book movies" complaints, like a true middle-aged person. But I ended up seeing it for a few other reasons, and was really surprised to find such an enjoyable movie. It has a number of very well-developed characters and watching their interactions was truly fun. Sharp funny dialogue. Robert Downey Jr. was fantastic, as always, and Mark Ruffalo was a great Banner/Hulk.
Pros reat characters
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Great characters, engaging storyline, well-acted. It's a long movie but holds your interest throughout. I didn't read the book but would be interested in reading it now.

Boring Poor Imitation of Indy Jones Action.

Did I mention it was boring? This was so boring, the kid next to me (not my own) was playing a game on his cell phone throughout the movie. Mnay kids were leaving to go to the bathroom, I think to pass the time. We walked out because all three of my kids asked to. Truly, I can't remember the last time I left a movie before it ended -- I'm not a tough judge. But this was dull, I didn't care about the characters or the plot line in the least.

I'll give it informative, and moving but it's slow, and I didn't love the jumbled chronology of the flashback format. I would ordinarily never comment on the make-up but in this case it's required -- the make-up to age Tolsen is so bad it's distracting.
