Wilder than the first movie, Revenge of the Fallen is at the top of the genre! I didn't realize I had been sitting so long when the movie was over--it is a long flick, but one with a contant adrenalin rush. Ignore the critics. Go see this movie!
I expected to be amused at least now and then--this was not high on my list of things to see--but OMG! This was hysterical throughout. I would recommend it to anyone with a funny bone over the age of 17.
Clint Eastwood's crotchety old man draws you into the story immediately--everyone knows one. Mean-spiritedness, bigotry and violent responses seem to be the heart of the character--but in fact it is lack of justice that moves him most. Very cleverly done and truly amazing acting. Mr. Eastwood put his age to use to pull off a winner.
Defiance details one of those little pieces of history that is so localized only those connected with it would ever know about it without such a movie as this--rather like "Rob Roy," but more intense for it being so contemporary. Craig and Schriber excelled in their interpretation of the divergent differences in character of the two brothers who made this story happen. What a phenomenal piece of work!
I expected this to be a depressing tale--it was anything but. It was full of humorous moments, interesting twists and thoughtful insights. There was sadness too, but the movie didn't dwell there--it is not a tear jerker! Truly an enjoyable movie.
This is right up the alley for Keanu Reeves. It is just weird enough to be fun and Keanu plays the role in a Matrix-like manner. Nothing unexpected, but good entertainment.
Wow! This is an historical romance novel rolled out onto the screen in epic fashion. The intimate history of Australia's lost generations, the wild west atmosphere of Darwin in the 1950's, the bombing by the Japanese at the beginning of the war--the length of the movie was amazingly short at nearly 3 hours for the ground covered. Kidman and Jackman were superb!
This is a movie that stays true to the book. I enjoyed every minute and it was evident that the audience did the same--we were all very involved. In particular, the characters from the book come alive and have every quirk and habit you expect from reading Twilight. Just superb!
This is exactly what one would of this expect of this genre going into the theater, with no surprises. But if you want non-stop action and aren't overly concerned with loose ends and weak plot, you'll have a good time.
