Not enough story. Not enough action. Not enough depth. It was OK, but the could have gone much further. Why was this one baby so special? Why was there only ONE Angel that thought mankind still had something worth saving? There should have been a group of Angels to make a stand against all of their brethren. If I were you, I would just wait for the DVD.
I liked it. It was a new twist on an old story of love and prejudice. You've heard the story before of daughters and their love of men that their fathers despise. I have seen it in old westerns lots of times. No one is good enough for a man's only daughter, especially an animalistic werewolf, even if he is in control of his abilities. Yes, God made us all differently, and yes, there are those that believe their race is better than others, but the heart follows its own path. Who are we, whether we are mere mortals or vampire kings, to deny others of their pursuits for happiness?
The story was neat, and most of the acting was good, but the movie was lacking something. I say that most of the acting was good, because there are some spots where they didn't act scared enough or they didn't react the way a person should when confronted with these kinds of occurrences. I spent $50 including tickets and popcorn and stuff for the wife, kid and I to see this movie, and it just wasn't worth it. It would have been better if there were some kind of demonic worshiper/follower that tried to help the demon in its efforts (like in The Omen).
