Don't watch this mover if you want the secret of the universe; you won't find it. If you want to sit back and laugh at the absurdity of the 70's and the stupid stuff from the movements of the day, it is an entertaining review. Heavy serious plot, no... lighthearted sarcasm, yes. It is not a poke at today's military or any rational train of thought; it is a lighthearted look into things you may have thought were true, but really know were not. Weren't we all Jedis in the 70's, may this farce be with you.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Doesn't deserve an R rating as long as there is someone to put depictions in context. Beautifully framed settings, outstanding depiction of modern day slavery with a touch of "are those game shows rigged?". Enjoy the film.
