What's all the fuss about?

An average film with a predictable and average plot. Yes, the acting from the cast of unknowns is pretty good (especially Jamal), but this isn't the amazing film that everyone says it is. I was disappointed.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

A beautifully tragic movie with great performances from both Mickey Rourke and Marisa Tomei. I loved it. Not one to be seen if you're already feeling down though!

A good film, but let down by Fiennes, I think. I couldn't help feeling that it would have been much more powerful and compelling if it had been a German language film with a full German cast. There was no need for it to feature two English actors, and in some ways I felt they detracted from the story.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
