I've been a fan of the original Evil Dead trilogy for years, and I've been very optimistic about this new movie and it's attempt to remake the original. And I was not let down, this movie delivered one wild ride. The movie begins somewhat slow, but once the story gets moving, it doesn't let up. There is very little, if any at all, CGI in the movie, and that makes the movie look surprisingly real. Evil Dead has great horror and tension; some actual bits of comedy; and tons of gore, dismemberment and blood. Tons of blood. By the time the movie was over, all I wanted to do is see it again. I felt the movie could have expanded a bit in a few plot points, but overall it was a good story. If you're a fan of the original Evil Dead movies, or just a fan of actually good horror movies, do yourself a favor and see this film.
Pros great story, great actors, realistic gore, great horror, bruce campbell cameo
Cons could have been longer
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A Modern Anime Classic

From the moment the movie started, I knew I was in for something epic. This movie was absolutely amazing. Beautiful animation and AMAZING fight scenes are constant in this film. I can't remember the last time I said "Wow" so much while watching a movie. The English voices were fantastic, each one fitting the character they were playing perfectly. The musical score by Naoki Sato was breathtaking and beautiful. I cannot recommend this movie enough. If you are an anime fan of any kind, or if you are a fan of movies at all, YOU NEED to see this movie at least once in your lifetime. I can only hope that more Anime Studios will learn from what Studio Bones did, and I really hope to see more Anime Feature Films hit the big screen. Amazing. Epic.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
