The best carmen I've seen. Elina Garanca was outstanding both for her singing and her acting. Other cast members were of equal quality and the replacent Escamillo for Mariusz Kwiecien was impressive in voice and definitely fit the role with charisma to spare. The final scene after Carmen's stabbing in which the set rotated to reveal the "stabbed" bull in the ring was quite uniquely appropriate.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
