The other reviews that I read before seeing the movie talk about it not standing up to the book version. They all said read the book and skip the movie. Well, I didn't read the book and found the movie quite entertaining, at times rivoting, and action packed. It is a long movie but it doesn't have any "slow spots". So, I say see the movie first and then read the book. That would be the best of both worlds.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
