This is the third time for this performance for me. Once at the Met, two in HD.
It just gets better and better ( although it's the same!)
I agree that the sound has to be worked on - it was turned up too much. Also an intermission would have been welcomed ( we get one at the Met, for crying out loud) for people to use the bathroom. ( And don't theaters want to sell drinks?)
It would have been a wonderful "starter" opera for someone who had never been. As it was, it was the best tonic for the summer blahs! Thanks JDF and Joyce!
