Non-stop action & violence is overwhelming

If you liked the original Star Trek, you may not like this film. The action is too fast-paced to be comprehensible, and the plot is also very hard to follow. It's a shame because behind it is an intelligent, heartfelt story. If you want to share your passion for Star Trek with your kids, they may enjoy it if they like the kind of violence you would find in video games and fast-paced thrillers, but it does not convey the spirit of the original. It seemed long and left me with a headache, though my boyfriend enjoyed it.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
