I found this to be a real movie;one that made me feel, think, and enjoy.A great couple movie. It held my interest even though i'm male and just finished seeing The Expendables(which was a huge,cheezy,over-violent,disappointment...hokey like Rambo production) a so-called action movie.Julia Roberts is so believable as this character;it is as though she is your relative going through all these experiences, you really empathize and identify with the emotions. This movie left me thinking, even the next day. This story is true so it becomes even more thought provoking.note:movie trailer#2 depicts a better image of movie.find before decision.
I could not miss this movie because of the All Star cast...or could I? In the end I thought, this movie was too Rambo like;it had three times the violence and blood than any other movie I've seen (that is the highlight of the movie) and I thought the reason to go back to the island was lame and could have been better and more pronounced.Other than that Mickey Rourke was great, however, although it must not be easy to have so many stars in one place,Jet Li seemed to reduce himself by doing so.I would be remiss if I didn't mention that I am truly sick and tired of anything anti-American and I don't think that to even mention that Americans are bad in the movie dialog is a great idea;much of the dialog was in subtitles in Spanish so imagine all types of people seing this movie.we do more for the world than anyone else and for good reason and simply should not go around apologizing or even pushing "the bad american notion"in movies.
