The movie was exceptional. All the characters were well fleshed out and believable. The story line was at times funny and at other times heart-wrenching. It is definitely a must-see!! I plan to read the book again and see the movie at least one more time! I special thing for us is that Octavia Spencer went to Jeff Davis High School in Montgomery, Alabama. Many of my friends actually taught her!!

This movie has heart, real heart. Everyone should know that there are people like that family who actually touch other lives in a real way. Having taught for 33 years I especially like the Kathy Bates character. Sandra Bullock was outstanding as usual. "Big Mike" was played with with tenderness except, perhaps, when he was playing smash-mouth on the field. "Big Mike's" little brother was super duper! You just had to love him. Don't miss this movie and go out and touch a life.
