Plenty of action, but...

you will need to have seen the first film and suspend reality a little more than before. The supporting cast (Mom & roommate) kept me in my seat waiting for when they were going to show up again. The plot has holes which is disappointing considering the money and talent attached (both in front of and behind the cameras). But the pleasure my 13 and 8 year-olds got out of it and nearly passing out laughing at the Mom scenes --- it was totally worth it. It only dragged in a couple of places, when it was getting so far-fetched suspending reality was nearly impossible, but it got back on track. Go see it and let's hope they correct the mistakes when #3 comes around.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
