I think the producers and writers did a pretty good job of staying true to the original characters and yet making the movie up to date. The casting was great and I always enjoy Liam Neeson movies so it was a bonus that the others were good in their roles, too. I'm not sure about Jessica Biel's character and how it really fit in, but I guess they felt a love interest was needed so why not her?
The action hardly stops in this movie. Definitely not for the younger Disney set. There is considerable violence and an interesting plot line that keeps the viewer wondering to the end just how it will end. Well cast with the right people in the right roles. Lots of fun for a summer movie.
I took my 82 year old Mom and she thoroughly enjoyed it and laughed many times. Even though it is predictable, the scenery alone was worth the cost of the ticket.
Thought it took most of the movie to really get a story going. Plenty of things get blown up but I think it would have been much more interesting if Iron Man had been on an actual mission. Most sequels aren't as good as the original and I think that is where this one falls.
I wish I knew more about the comic book characters and their stories but this film still had lots of action and plots going on that I enjoyed. A fun summer movie.
Lots of funny scenes, actually laughed out loud. I will go see it again to make sure I caught all the lines, people were laughing so much I think I missed a few. Sandra Bulllock and Ryan Reynolds are perfect in the roles. Other patrons left talking about how much they enjoyed it. Be sure and stay as the credits start to roll as there are several more funny clips. Don't miss this one!
Lots of action, definitely needs the "R" rating for language and violence, but great for adults. Denzel Washington and John Travolta do a really convincing job with their characters. Action was fast paced but did give you a couple breathers to relax which was good. Very decent remake of the original.
Very dark, very violent and extra long are the best things you can say about this movie. If you think it will be entertaining like X-Men or Iron Man you will be extremely disappointed. Sorry I didn't just stay home and do my taxes.
Very accurate portrayal of India and it's conditions. Definitely one of the best movies I've seen in years. 6 members of my family went together 2 weeks ago and we are still talking about it and referring it to friends. A little hard to catch all the Indian nuances and the accent can take a little getting used to as well, but stay with it, it's well worth it. We have Indian relatives and they have shed even more light on some of the situations in the movie and agree that is is a very accurate portrayal.
Definitely a Clint Eastwood vehicle, but some other actors get a few good moments in as well. Somewhat of an emotional roller coaster so bring along a tissue, but you won't leave crying.
