From the beginning to the very end of the film you are holding on to your seat, holding your breath for long periods of time.
Great movie, Sad it will be overlooked due to Michael bays Effects explosion extravaganza Transformers. But dont let that stop you, there are 3 days in the weekend so check it out.

Not without its issues, this character driven film is solid. Compelling story, great performance by Sam Rockwell and great art direction.

So, from watching the trailers i didn't really expect much and watching the movie, my low expectations where met. They have had 3 xmen movies all of which included wolverines metal claws and then they make a movie that revolves primarily on his character and they skip out on a metal claw budget. The result being the worst claws in the series. Just straight up amateur. Its unfortunate, i did want to enjoy the movie but the more i think back, the more i hate it. Story is linear and flat, characters are just thrown in the movie like obstacles in a racing game. Luke warm start to what looks like a blockbuster saturated summer.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Having read the graphic novel, i went to see this movie for eye candy, since the characters were already so well fleshed out in the GN. The movie however does take a good stab at bringing the book to life. The book is very dense so it would be expected that a 3 hour movie wouldnt have the time to explore all 6 of the main characters lives thoroughly. However, the movie is entertaining and explores the world of the Watchmen in fantastic detail. If you enjoy the movie, pick up the book, it will make you want to watch the movie again.

You Get what's expected

If you saw the trailer you know what your getting. Considering its a movie based on "SPEED RACER" you cant expect this movie to be an oscar contender, but it is whats expected of it: a lot of fun. Fantastic visual style, good performances by the veteran cast and the story is much better than you think.
