This movie entertained us from beginning to end. It made us feel happy and then sad, but in a good way. It was not at all depressing. My husband wanted it to continue, as he was enjoying the story of Benjamin himself, as well as the other stories and people that were brought in to make Benjamin's life full. Loved Queenie. I'd see it again.
From the trailers, it looked it would be a very good, moving film; however, we should know not to trust trailers, right? Thought DiCaprio was poor in this movie--it was as if he was his first acting job and just could not get into his character. Not a big Kate Winslet fan, but I've seen her in better roles. Couldn't figure her character out too well--was she really crazy or not? Did like Kathy Bates; she always nails her character. Could not really get into the story, itself. Just seemed to skim along the subjects without really getting into their characters or their parts in the story. Such as Kathryn Hahn's character--why did she react as she did to the situations in her scenes. Movie had no substance. Was ready for it to be over with.
