The comedy in this movie is delightful. It kept me awake and it's easy on the mind. I definitely recommend this movie. It's a good one for your DVD collection too!
Ever get the feeling that the government is taking over everything? As a conspiracy theorist enthusiast, I could not help but to applaud Moore for his efforts at the end of this movie/real life factual documentary. Once again, he points out the discrete, yet in-your-face connections, of the well-connected, and the resolve of the American people. Dictatorship and socialism are imminent inevitable in this country--if not already here. Question is, will we, as Americans, stand for such a deplorable takeover? Wake up from your slumber! Quit watching the distractions and start paying attention to what's happening around you. QUESTION EVERYTHING!!
This movie deserves more like 2.5 stars out of 5. It starts off...well..kind of stupid. I fell asleep after awhile because it didn't hold my interest. I woke up midway. That's when it started getting half way decent. I'm a conspiracy theory buff so this movie to me had a lot of secret society undertones, as well as world order overtones. If you go see it, check out the MNU symbol (the goat's head). Hmmmm....
Just when you thought Meryl Streep couldn't get any, here comes her lastest role (especially after "The Devil Wears Prada). I nearly died when she says the one line in the movie for which I was not ready! It was hysterical to the core. I absolutely adored Stanley Tucci. The movie does get a wee bit long, but it's not unbearable. Amy Adams did a fine job--so did everyone one. I would definitely recommend this slice of heaven. Two thumbs up!
Sandra Bullock hasn't disappointed me yet. This movie has all the emotional elements: laughter, joy, love, sadness, etc. In my opinion, it's a well-rounded movie. Ryan Reynolds is truly adorable, gorgeous, sexy, and funny. However, the movie doesn't do the Alaskian landscape justice! I've been there, and it's far far more beautiful in real life. I would recommend this movie, AND A CRUISE WITH A BALCONY TO ALASKA'S INSIDE PASSAGE!!
It had some tense moments. Lots of action. But I absolutely loved Travolta's villian character. He was the perfect pick for this movie. He's such a great actor in this film. Washington's heroic character was somewhat predictable and safe. I would love to have seen him play a more racier character. Lastly, I thought the kid in the movie was going to be a big hit--not so. I would still recommend this movie.
This movie wasn't even worth the time I spent on gas to go see it. If you want to see it, see it free by some other means. But I can not, will not and shall not recommend this movie.
Okay, will someone tell me what was up with the music lights in the movies? And if you've seen the movie, you'd know what I'm talking about. Seriously folks, you can wait for this one to come out on DVD. Do not, I repeat, do not spend the full movie price. You may be disappointed.
One hellava good movie. In my opinion, this is a very emotional and bitter-sweet movie especially towards the end. You'll cry at the end so take some tissue! I loved Rosario Dawson; this may be the movie that will launch her career to higher heights. Caution, this movie is not for those whose who are sensitive on the subject of suicide.
Kudos to the director, producers, Smith, Dawson and Harrelson!!
