Even though I know enough history to know where this "based on a true story" was heading, I found myself hoping there would be success for the characters---a tribute to the story-telling. As a fan of cinema, I found myself noticing the direction whenever we saw helicopter shots of cars on roads, so the directing was a bit heavy-handed, because it's best not to notice you are watching a movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
