Wow! What a movie! The Mad Hatter is truly mad, yet makes more sense than anyone in the Red Queen's castle. Incredible performances by Johnny Depp, the wonderfully brave dormouse, that great Chesshire cat, Helena Bonham Carter and the true champion, Alice. The animation, the IMAX 3D, the Jabberwock, the perfect details throughout. Great Movie!
The Half Blood Prince rotates among all those emotions - with much more laughter than most Harry Potter films. But then there's that scary water scene and Tom Riddle is pretty scary, too - plus the sadness of losing Dumbledore. Then Harry feels very alone. Really loved the scene where Harry finally got the memory from the potions professor.
Even having lived through this history, I was still amazed at the background, both on Nixon and especially on David Frost, who always made it look so easy. That creepy phone call, those Italian shoes - perfect details to illuminate this story. A great movie and well done.
