Original with Harry Hamlin was my children's favorite - ran it on VCR at least once a week for a few years, so had to see re-make. The effects trump the original, of course, and the cast was superb. The story and character development were cut short, though . . . it was action, action, action - seemed the movie was over-edited and short. The Pegasus-effects were astounding. Wish they would have cast someone with classical "look" for Perseus - not much acting was required.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A crying shame the tour was not to be - it would have been a fabulous show - worth every cent for a ticket. Michael surrounded himself with the best, and he knew exactly what he wanted. He was a genius - music and rhythm reverberated in every cell of his being. We have, and will continue, to enjoy his gifts, his legacy. It's heartbreaking that his children have lost what would have been his legacy as a father. I would have liked to have seen more personal interaction with his production staff in the creative process...for 5 stars.
