The Date movie of the summer.
The hardest thing to do in a relationship movie is the represent men and women equally and fairly. With a Romantic comedy this task is made harder by the need to get some laughs out of the foibles of either or both.
Sam Mendes's new Indie offering makes us see and believe, laugh at and care for the women and the men who are portrated by a great set of actors. There are so many moments of recognition and broad comedy packed into this 90 minute movie that I never got bored.
The ending rigns a little contrived but until then it was a completely believable and fun movie. This is the date movie of the simmer.
