This is one of the most amazing movies I have seen in a while. Michael Shannon is pitch-perfect as a Regular Guy going over the edge, and Jessica Chastain is certainly fantastic as his loyal wife. The depiction of a marraige in this movie is honest and refreshing, not some stylized version of partnerhood that doesn't reflect the deep valleys in every relationship. See this movie; you will be glad that you did.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I haven't read any of the books yet, but I still found this movie incredibly entertaining. It's true that I was puzzled at some of the plot twists, but that only makes me crave the third installment!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This is a brilliant little film featuring an unknown but remarkable cast, Jennifer Lawrence gives a stand-out performance worthy of note. She absolutely shines as a young girl tasked with too many responsibiliies too soon, but she bears her burden with dignity and grace. This is a part of America that we don't think enough about...
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I went to see this with my husband but didn't expect to like it. LOVED IT. I am not a fan of post-apocalyptic or religious message movies but this one was done so beautifully that it didn't feel like it was preaching to you. If you have any kind of spirituality in you, you will love this movie. Run, don't walk to the nearest theatre.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
