He went 12 YEARS before coming back and BREAKING HIS OWN RECORD. Doesn't that say it all? This is my new favorite movie of the 21st Century and I'm sure it will be for some time to come. Cameron has set the bar higher in every way. Each time I see Avatar I come away with a little bit more.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I give it 4-and-a-half stars because I think the last hour could have been done better. But it's still excellent because it's definitely A WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF MOVIE-GOING experience!
See it in IMAX 3D!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

After the knife-through-the-back which was Star Trek: Nemesis seven years ago, Star Trek is reborn! JJ Abrams has a great vision. Exactly what Trek needs and deserves for the next century and the next human generation. GO SEE IT NOW!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A graphic novel can never be a movie and a movie can never be a graphic novel. Each is a very different story telling medium. Much like the film adaptation of the novel, V for Vendetta, the Watchmen film stands on it's own. You gotta judge each indepentently. With that said, this film passes the test. Like the novel, this film has A LOT to say on many different levels and not all of it is easy to consider. Much like looking in a mirror, sometimes we don't always recognize what we see. But that's what growing up is all about: learning to see clearly and take responsibilty for one's choices and actions. This is definitely a film all about the American psyche post World War II. Who watches the Watchmen? I do. I hope you will, too.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
