I've been a Trekie since a child watching the original series in my dad's lap. Then grew up watching all the offshoots, and movies (Next Generation, Deep Space 9, Enterprise). I was told before hand a Trekie wouldn't enjoy the movie....they were WRONG! Star Trek was the best movie I've seen in the last two years! Excellent job in all areas of the movie.

Worst movie of the year

I had been anticipating this movie since I seen the first preview.
I didn't care for the narration of the entire movie.
I found that the total nudity was uncalled for, as Dr. Manhatten could have worn a speedo. He did in some scenes and also dressed in a suite for others, but the bulk of the time we saw him walking around totally naked.
The sex scene was over the top and over done. I understand there may have been a need to show the budding relationship, but leave our minds something to wonder with.
The subplots were non existent and for an action film it was slow, very slow. The violence was over kill.
