Fabulous Family Film

I saw this movie with my children, ages 17, 15, and 8. The movie was entertaining and fast paced. I couldn't believe I spent a couple hours in it! It may loosely follow the book (but how often do movies really adequately mirror the written word?) but it is extremely entertaining and a must see for those who love mythology. The quests, the characters, and the special effects are worth the view. Thurman is a stunningly cunning and effective Medusa, McKidd a fabulous Poseidon, and Hades and Dawson as Persephone wickedly comical. The tale is an enchanting relief from talking animals and cartoons. Well worth the time!
